30/12/2015 Private William Given, serving with the 3rd Battalion of the Wellington Regiment, who was initially reported wounded and missing on 4th October 1917, was presumed to have been killed in action on that day.
30/12/2015 A court of enquiry which took place in Rouen, France on 28th January 1918 found it was reasonable to assume that Private William Given had been killed in action.
