William Boyd was the son of John Boyd. He was born about 1884. Private William Boyd was serving with the 2nd Battalion of the Scots Guards when he died on 16th May 1915. He was 31 years old. Private William Boyd has no known grave and is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial. It has been suggested that William has some connection with Ballyscullion near Toome. No valid link has so far been found.
