George Grogan was born in Maghera. George was employed for a time by William Clark & Sons Ltd, Upperlands. Private George Grogan was serving with the 9th Battalion of the Gordon Highlanders when he died on 25th September 1915. Private George Grogan has no known grave and is commemorated on the Loos Memorial in Pas-de-Calais, France.
